Weight
The wing and foundation are approximately 200 tons, however weight can fluctuate based on vessel and material requirements
Material
The mast and foundation are made out of carbon steel, and the flap, leading and trailing panels are PET Core and glass fiber composites.
Redundancy
Our hydraulic system is installed with backup lines, hoses and a backup pump to ensure the wing is always stowable.
Power use
Wing 560 uses minimal power as it is a passive system. Shipowners can expect around 6-10kW per wing sail during normal operation.

Wing 560 is designed with a 25-year lifetime in mind. This means minimal components, minimal maintenance.

This is the brain and the heart of the system. Enclosed in the wing machinery house is the convergence of hydraulics and electrics which serve as the integration point with the vessel.
