Wallenius, headquartered in Stockholm, has been a leading player in global shipping since 1934, offering sustainable end-to-end services from innovative vessel design to ship management. With an integrated, long-term approach, operational experience is continuously used to improve performance and inform next-generation vessel design.
Wallenius Marine developed the Oceanbird concept together with KTH Royal Institute of Technology and SSPA within the wPCC project, supported by the Swedish Transport Administration. Active from 2019–2022, the project united industry, academia, and public-sector experts to advance emission-free shipping. The collaboration continues today through the EU-funded Orcelle Horizon project.
